Free continuing education credits are available

Continuing education credits are available, for free, to all laboratorians whose laboratory participates in AAB-PTS programs. All employees of the laboratory are eligible to create an account and access the Learning Management System (LMS). You will need an email address and your AAB-PTS account number to establish user credentials.

Each continuing education module is approved for continuing education units (CEUs) through AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts)/ABB's (American Board of Bioanalysis) Professional Enrichment Education Renewal (PEER). If you are a member of AAB you can record the credits in your member CEU account. If you are not a member of AAB you can submit a copy of the certificate to the appropriate professional organization. The states of California and Florida accept PEER CEUs for maintenance of state certification.

Laboratorians can earn up to 12 contact hours of Continuing Education per annum. The number of credits available will depend on the participation in the following programs.

• Chemistry
  3 hours
• Hematology
  3 hours
• Microbiology
  3 hours
• Immunology
  3 hours

Participants will be eligible for each of the above programs in which the laboratory is enrolled.
